Personally, it’s not a NYE celebration if I’m not my wearing a pair of heels for New Year’s Eve! They give me a couple of extra inches, make me feel more confident, and make me feel incredibly sexy — something that gives me a stroke of fierceness during one of the best parties of the year. I love New Year’s Eve. Everyone’s all decked in their best party outfits and champagne bottles are being opened one after the other. All in anticipation of the beautiful fireworks display and the countdown that welcomes the new year in.

Today’s article is all about dressing to impress for your New Year’s Eve party. But this time, we’re focusing on one of my favorite topics: heels!

Wearing Heels For New Year’s Eve | Which One’s For You?

My mantra when it comes to choosing heels for New Year’s Eve is simple: Dress to impress or suffer a year of poor fashion choices.

Okay, maybe that’s a bit drastic. What I’m getting at is that New Year’s Eve is a cause for celebration. It’s a time to wear the most lust-worthy of shoes, the most fabulous of clothes, and the best shade of matte lipstick you can get your hands on.

As we welcome the year ahead, let’s all make a promise to dress to impress. After all, isn’t there a saying that people should dress for the job they want? So if you’re aiming to get a promotion soon, you know what to do. Who knows, dressing and feeling like a girl boss might just seal the deal for you!

Start swapping your shoes for these pairs, ladies. Trust me, you’ll be slaying it come New Year’s Eve!

1. Printed Pumps

I love a good pair of pumps. But what I love even more are printed pumps. Prints give my heels the extra kick of style and are a great way to make a good and lasting impression. Soon, everyone will know you as the girl with fabulous shoe-sense.

2. Cut Out

Cut out heels, though cute, sometimes have a tendency to make legs look short. The secret to fixing this is to get a pair in a nude hue because anything that looks like your skin color gives the illusion of legs for days. Now who wouldn’t want that?

3. Jeweled

Some New Year’s Eve celebrations are spent with family. This is where this type of heel comes in. It’s got the right amount of class and elegance, while still staying true to your funny and happy personality. Wearing this pair of heels for New Year’s Eve would definitely get me approval from all the ladies in my family.

4. Chunky

Chunky heels are my go to pairs for when I know I’ll be standing or walking a lot throughout the day. I would know. My chunky heels have saved both my feet and my sanity one too many times. They’re like my superheroes sometimes.

5. Metallic

I’m totally into metals right now to the point that I have all three colors in my shoe closet:  gold, silver, and my new favorite, copper. Metallic pumps are great because they’re shiny without being too attention-grabbing, especially since I still want people to look at the rest of my outfit.

6. Suede

I usually only break out my suede heels for special occasions because I’m always so paranoid that I’d get them dirty. But you know what, these red suede pumps are calling me. I’ve got a feeling I’ll be wearing these as my heels for New Year’s Eve.

7. Studded

These Louboutins are so fierce, I can’t stop staring at them. They’re just so gorgeous and edgy — my kind of killer heels!

8. Tied With A Ribbon

I’ve always found ribbons to be so adorable. They give such a soft and dainty finish to an outfit — they’ll make you look like the belle of the New Year’s Eve ball.

9. See Through

Cinderella may have had her glass slipper, but that’s okay. We have something else for New Year’s Eve. This party heel features a mesh and jewel design, which in my opinion, is way better than Cinderella’s shoe. I mean, she left her shoe at the prince’s castle. But me, I wouldn’t dare part with these babies.

10. Classy Ankle Straps

I could never end this list without mentioning a pair of classy ankle straps. They’re so chic and so versatile. To be honest, they’re one of my shoe favorites, which is another way of saying that I have too many pairs of this kind of heel in my closet. Oops! #obsessed
