Who’s Ready For The Return Of This 90s Fashion Trend?

The 90s was a great time for fashion. Well, that’s an understatement because 22 years later, we still find ourselves reliving the trends of yesteryear. And what can we say? We’re loving them! So, are you ready for the return of this major 90s fashion trend?

Who’s Ready for the Return of this 90s Fashion Trend?

Remember the days when wearing shirts under your tank top was cool? No? Let me help jog your memory with one word: Clueless. The outfits in Clueless were way ahead of their time and yet, perfectly capture the trends of that decade. In Clueless, Cher, played by the beautiful Alicia Silverstone, wears a shirt under her tank top not once, but twice, in the movie.

Now we find ourselves in the year 2016, where fashion trends from the 70s, 80s, and 90s are making a comeback. The trend we’re totally digging right now is the return of the tank top/shirt combo and, of course, we can thank the Kardashians for resurrecting this look from the dead.

Kendall Jenner was the first one of the klan to wear the trend. She wore a plain white tee underneath a flesh-colored silk nightie to the MTV Movie Awards in April.

Her infamous sister, Kim, followed suit by wearing a long sleeve top underneath a long, black silk dress not but a week later.

Who’s next on the list? The one and only, Kylie Jenner! Kylie was spotted partying at Coachella Weekend 1 with rainbow hair and a white shirt under a little black number. We’re loving the hair, by the way!

And it’s not just the Kardashians who are bringing back the 90s. Rihanna can be credited for bringing back TLC’s best looks. Don’t believe us? Check out the photo below.

What more could I say about this trend? I’m loving it! I personally love wearing tank tops, but sometimes don’t feel comfortable wearing them in public. For days like that, it’s nice to know I can wear a shirt underneath and have it be on trend. This is a look I’ll enjoy wearing all year long!
