Benefits Of Kindness Yoga In Your Life

Would you like to experience positive energy and love even off the mat? How about practicing yoga while being part of a growing community? If your answers are yes, then you need to learn about Kindness Yoga.

My days will be pretty full within the next few days due to classes. The good thing is I’ve found this time to come up with blog posts in advance, so when you visit this site, you can look forward to something. Not only that, I’ll deal with wider subjects including relationships and diet. Isn’t that exciting? Now, for the past months, we’ve been talking about different types of yoga, and I’ve featured some yoga celebrities and even tools and equipment. Today I’ll be sharing with you a very beautiful community called Kindness Yoga.

Benefits Of Kindness Yoga In Your Life

Nurture Your Body, Spirit, And Mind With Love And Mindfulness

Kindness Yoga is actually a studio with branches in Golden, Capitol Hill, Hilltop, Platte Street, South Broadway, and Cherry Creek in Colorado. There’s no doubt they will open a few more in the future. But for the teachers and students, Kindness Yoga is a collective or a growing community that promotes the practice of yoga and a whole lot more.

The goal: To make sure yoga enriches not only your body or your mind but your entire being.

1. Kill Yourself With Kindness

Meditation is already a given in yoga–but kindness? When you want to make the most of your yoga practice, you do it with an intention, which can range from a stronger core, a clearer mind, or a healthier body. You can also use it to teach yourself how to be kind, particularly to your body.

Teaching yoga for years, I realized a lot of people want to be great at it, yet they can’t really reach their full potential because of how they see their own bodies. They think they’re too old, too big, too thin, or too bony to do asanas! Kindness Yoga teaches you to love yourself, and that’s a powerful idea. When you know how to appreciate yourself, you become gentler and more loving with it. As you fill yourself with love, you begin to show it outwardly. Thus, you become an active member of your community. And you just don’t belong–you also share kindness and love toward others.

Kindness also brings with it beauty, creativity, peace, contentment, and inner strength, which helps you deal with the everyday craziness of the world.

2. Exercise Mindfulness

Another important component taught in Kindness Yoga studios is mindfulness. What is it?

There are two factors to consider: Present moment and non-judgment.

To be mindful is to be aware of where you are at this very moment and space. It’s being in touch with the now, which is free of any worry, criticism, and suffering. Being mindful also means exercising non-judgment. You take in the experiences delivered by your different senses such as the things you hear, smell, touch, feel, smell, or even taste as they are.

3. Take Your Pick

Kindness Yoga studios’ focus is you and your needs. To address that, they have a wide variety of yoga classes you can choose from, which you can book directly through their website. We’ve already talked many of the styles, so I’ll concentrate on two that may be new to you:

First, we have Forrest yoga, a kind of yoga developed by Anna Forrest, a practitioner and instructor for more than 30 years. What sets it apart from other types of yoga is its healing component. The postures have been modified mainly to help you recover or manage life stresses or certain ailments.

Kindness Yoga also has its own yoga style called Kinda Hot, which is a kind of hot yoga incorporating poses that promote strength, balance, restoration, relaxation, and detoxification.

4. Build A Community

Yoga students can already build a community, but if you want to make it formidable, then you need to have teachers be part of it too. The studio offers several teachers’ training and certifications to make sure that they don’t only teach the right yoga techniques but they also connect better with their students. Teacher training can be as short as 200 hours, so if you love yoga and you want to make it a full-time career, this is a good place to start.

5. Go Beyond Yoga

Do you know Kindness Yoga offers acupuncture? In fact, it’s community acupuncture. This means you go through the treatment with a few more people, saving you a lot of money from the procedure. You’re also less likely to feel anxious if it’s your first time. Acupuncture is optional, but if you want to really improve your health, give it a try.

6. Learn More With Retreats, Classes, And Workshops

Just in case you don’t have the time to attend any of their classes, or you want to ensure this is the best yoga studio for you, you can join many of their workshops and retreats. It’s also an awesome way to introduce yourself to its community. As a start, don’t forget to sign up for its beginners’ class this coming September 17 and 24.

Need a little more convincing? One of Kindness Yoga teachers tells you why yoga is a great everyday practice through a video from Kindness Collective:

When it comes to Kindness Yoga, you can take my word for it or, better yet, be part of it. To get to know more about the community and what they offer, including how much it would cost you, visit their website. Follow them on their social media accounts too to get up-to-date info on retreats, classes, and workshops.
