Finally – Someone Makes Lingerie Women Can Enjoy

We’re the ones who have to wear the damn things. It’s about time someone made them comfortable.

These Panties Aren’t For You, Man

Yup, it’s true. While we’re the ones who have to wear panties and bras, they’re often constructed with the male gaze in mind. How will this thong look is, for some reason or another, I find myself in someone’s bed? Is it sexy enough? Red’s a passionate color, right? Can they see my panty line? Should I stop wearing these uber-comfortable boxer shorts because they’re not feminine enough?

Well, there’s finally a designer who has an answer to those questions and so much more. Marie Yat, a designer born and raised in Hong Kong who moved to London to pursue her career in the fashion industry, is designing lingerie for women, by a woman who knows EXACTLY what feels and looks good.

Her pieces are comfortable and fabricated from natural cottons and silk, and feminine, featuring an array of pretty pastel colors.

Dazed Magazine runs a fantastic piece on Marie Yat, her vision and why she’s taking a stand against the male gaze. Read it below.
