Over the years, street style from New York Fashion Week has become just as important as the runway shows themselves. And while we still marvel at the glamour of the runway, there’s a huge appeal in the more down to earth looks we see on the streets. These are outfits we can easily see ourselves wearing everyday, probably more than the ones we see on the runway. So it doesn’t matter if you’re attending New York Fashion Week or not, these street style staples are must-haves that belong in every stylish girl’s wardrobe.

New York Fashion Week is just around the corner, and I’m so excited to see all the new trends and collections! But aside from the runway shows, I’ll also keep my eye out for New York Fashion Week street style. It’s my go-to source for fashion-forward yet wearable outfit inspiration, and it should be one of yours too. Vogue editors recently talked about what they’ll be wearing to New York Fashion Week this season, and they’re all prioritizing comfort and function in their outfits. And while I’ve never been to New York Fashion Week, I’m sure we can all relate to wearing comfy yet stylish outfits. So read on for 11 street style-approved pieces to help you dress like it’s New York Fashion Week, every single day.

1. White Sneakers

When we talk about combining fashion and comfort these days, white sneakers are one of the first things that come to mind. I’m in love with this trend, and it seems like it’s here to stay. These days you can wear white sneakers with anything: jeans and a basic tee, cute skirts, and even shirt dresses like this one!

2. Laid-Back Basics

All the stylish girls are out for New York Fashion Week, all showing off their signature looks. But the true measure of style is how well you can pull off the most basic pieces.
