Here’s How to Wear the Spring 2016 Pantone Colors

“We saw a movement toward very calm shades contrasted with specific pops of bright primaries,” Laurie Pressman, VP of Pantone’s Color Institute, told Glamour. “We [always] select ten colors because we feel that number allows us to express the full range and create a comprehensive color palette.”

This season’s colors are soft, muted and rooted in the beautiful hues of nature. Here’s how to wear them like your favorite street style star.

1. Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz is one of the year’s official Pantone colors and the easiest to pair with other colors.

2. Peach Echo

Another pinkish hue on the list, the Peach Echo will warm up your spring with its playful but sexy shade. This hue suits darker, solid colors too.

3. Snorkel Blue

This bright blue shade is to die for. Think of all the beautiful, creative outfits you could curate around this shade.

4. Serenity

Serenity is the other official Pantone color of the year and, much like its name indicates, this calm shade will add an air of relaxation to your outfit.

5. Buttercup

Match the sunshine with this bright and energetic color! Be sure to adapt the yellow hue to your undertone.

6. Limpet Shell

Another blue shade, this one promises tranquility in its simplicity–perfect to wear on a busy day.

7. Lilac Gray

Lilac Gray is one of the Pantone colors that can stand on its own as a monochromatic look. To add variance to your look, we recommend pairing this with pink or blue hues.

8. Fiesta

Let everyone know the party has started by wearing Fiesta, Pantone’s liveliest spring color.

9. Iced Coffee

This hue may give off a laid-back vibe, but don’t be fooled. Iced coffee should be a go-to shade for spring as its versatility allows it to be mixed and matched with almost anything.

10. Green Flash

A pop of green in your OOTD can only elevate your look. Incorporate this hue in your spring get-up.

The vibrancy of these colors is one of the many reasons we love spring! Let these colors inspire you to create bold outfits that showcase your personality and style. Have fun and until next season when we go over Pantone’s Fall 2016 colors!
