This may have something to do with women just wanting to be comfortable for their long workdays. With more and more companies establishing more casual dress codes, it seems completely normal people would want to wear comfortable clothes at work.
According to market research firm The NPD Group, Americans spent $323 billion on apparel in 2014, a 1 percent increase from the prior year that’s largely due to athletic-related purchases. That’s A LOT of yoga pants.

The new crop of sexy, form-fitting and fashion-forward fitness apparel has women wearing their gym clothes to the grocery store, out with friends, and even to the office.
