DIY DreamCatcher Kit

Our friends over at Maker’s Kit sent us these amazing DIY home decor kits that we just couldn’t get enough of and had to share with you! As soon as these kits came in the mail, we ripped open the box and got to work on making all of these fun crafts.

Today we’ll be sharing the DIY Dream Catcher Kit with you which is super easy to make (even I could do it and believe me when I say I am NOT a crafter) and looks beautiful when hung up on your wall or from your ceiling.

Let’s get started, shall we? First, let’s go over what comes inside the box:

• vegan leather cording
• gold-toned metal ring
• wooden beads
• feathers
• twine

What’s great about these kits is that everything already comes pre-packaged for you, so there’s no having to go to the craft store (even though that is a fun adventure and if you live in LA or are visiting, please check out Moskatels because it will blow.your.mind!) for supplies, nor do you have to worry about buying the wrong ones or running out.

Some things to keep in mind as you’re making this dream catcher:

• Tying the twine around the metal ring will require patience, and lots of it.
• Add your wooden beads as you’re weaving the twine. You won’t be able to go in afterwards and adds them. This may seem like common sense but if you’re a beginner to crafting like I am, it’s best to be reminded twice about the small things.
• Oh, did we mention that the leather is vegan? How awesome is that!
• When finished, be sure to measure out your twine before hanging. The twine is rather long, so I would recommend cutting it down to 4 inches. That is, unless you want to hang it from the ceiling or something, but since I prefer to hang mine from my wall, I cut the twine short.
