If you live in the Los Angeles area, or you’re planning a vacation soon, you HAVE to stop by The Painted Nail in the center of Hollywood.
This is not your average nail salon, ladies. From the minute you walk in the door, you feel at home at The Painted Nail. It could be the pretty purple walls, the dazzling lights or the comfy chairs but as soon as a smiling nail tech offers you a glass of wine, you realize this will be the only nail salon you ever visit again. Give me wine and I’ll be your best friend. Whose with me on that one?!
Katie Cazorla, owner of The Painted Nail, had a vision for the salon. She wanted to create a chic yet cozy environment. A place you can come after a long day to relax, drink some wine and get some girl talk in.
Okay, lets talk nail polish. I was almost overwhelmed by the Essie polish color selection this place has going on. I mean it’s an entire wall filled with every Essie polish you could ever want! After staring at the beautiful wall for quite some time, Katie started telling myself and my co-worker about her polish line, Color Flash.
The polish is similar to gel once it hardens, but there’s no base coat or top coat involved. The all-in-one polish also dries in 60 seconds while under the LED lamp. For those not paying attention, you get get a full-on manicure that dries in one minute! I’ll be honest, I was skeptical and a little scared to start touching things after a minute. But I trusted Katie and what do you know, my nails really were bone dry after only a minute! This manicure is perfect for a girl on the go. In Los Angeles, you’d be hard pressed to find a women who isn’t always on the go (and then fully stopped in traffic).
Another great thing about the Color Flash line is the removal process. All you have to do is apply her “Gone In A Flash” remover gel to each nail and cover with foil wraps. This can all be conveniently purchased at the salon. The manicure should last for 10-14 days although you’ll probably want to come back sooner to hang out with Katie and her awesome team.
Since the salon is so luxurious, a passer-by might assume it’s pricey, but it’s actually super affordable. The type of manicure I got is in the $25-30 range. You just can’t beat that price for a long-lasting manicure that comes with great service, a cozy atmosphere and wine. You can’t forget the wine.
