Cute and Adorable Candles for Your Home
Scented candles can improve the atmosphere of every home. It gives off a relaxing vibe at the end of a very exhausting day and improves the mood. If you want to try adding them in your home, why don’t you make your own? try this watermelon candles and you’ll definitely enjoy the ambiance of your home better.
All you need are:
- Soy Wax
- Wax Pigments (Red,Green)
- Citronella Essential Oil or Watermelon Fragrance Oil
- Candle Wicks
- Paper Cups
Step 1: Melt the Wax
Melt the soy wax by putting it in hot boiling water ao popping it inside a microwave between 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 2: Add Color
Add a little bit of green color pigment to the melted wax. Don’t forget to add the fragrance. It can be the citronella oil or the watermelon fragrance.
Step 3: Pour the Green Wax
Place a little glue on the bottom of the candle wick then place it at the bottom center of the paper cup. Pour in the green wax up to a quarter of the cup. Put them in the refrigerator for two minutes. Make sure the wick stays in the middle of the cup.
Step 4: Pour White Wax
After the green wax hardened, spray some rubbing alcohol and then pour the white wax. Just a thinner layer compared to the green wax. You don’t have to add color pigments since the wax is naturally white.
Step 5: Pour the Red Wax
After the white wax has set, add the red wax. Fill the paper cup to the brim. It is almost done!
Step 6: Peel the Paper Cup
Cut the wick 3/4 inch above the wax then snip a little piece of the paper cup and peel it with your hands.
And it’s done!
Just add the little seed for design if you want.
