Shopping tips are absolutely necessary for someone like me whenever it’s sale season. Whether it’s thrift shopping or scouring for the best online deals, I’m always down with getting more done and having more items in my shopping bags.
Black Friday deals have turned me into a lady on a mission. A mission to get all the best savings, of course! I remember my first ever Black Friday sale experience–I wasn’t prepared at all. I was stressfully deciding which items to buy because I didn’t have a shopping list. Another I didn’t do was do my research, so I only got to a few stores. Lastly, I began shopping LATE, so I didn’t have first pick and most of the items I wanted were either gone or didn’t have my size. Yes, I know, disastrous. But with every disaster comes a learning experience. Now I can confidently say that I can own sale events like a pro shopper with the shopping tips I gained over the years.
Black Friday Sale Shopping Tips To Score The Best Deals
I love sales because I always feel like I’m getting more for my buck. Knowing that I’m saving so much is intoxicating for me; it’s a thrill whenever stores start putting up their red signs. If you feel the same way, prep your wallet, and get a notebook ready as I tell you some of my best shopping tips you need to know before this year’s Black Friday sale.
1. Keep Posted On The Dates
It’s always good to set your calendars earlier because some stores start their sales even before Black Friday starts. This is particularly handy if you’ve got your eye on one of your favorite brands. You never know, you might get to score your next gadget before everybody else!
2. Know The What and Where
I won’t lie. With all the signs put up on store displays, it’s easy to get side tracked and pop into stores you wouldn’t regularly go into. So my remedy for this is to be prepared by making a list of the stores and items you’re planning to buy come Black Friday.
Making a list beforehand is one of my top shopping tips because it helps keep you reminded of what you’re in the mall for. All the other stores can wait once you’ve gotten your new finds in the bag!
3. Scavenger Hunt With Friends
Black Friday sales can get crazy, so team up with your girlfriends and divide your shopping lists accordingly.
You can choose to do it either by category or by brand. Once you’ve all settled on the purchases, celebrate with a round of drinks on a job well done!
4. Stick To A Budget
Just because it’s sale season doesn’t mean you have to hit your credit limit. Prevent yourself from rolling in debt by sticking to a budget — one that’s realistic but still allows you to treat yourself come sale season.
5. Check Before Purchasing
Another one of my shopping tips is to check the items for any scratches, holes, or signs of wear and tear before paying for them. Remember ladies, getting a good deal now won’t be worth it in the long run if it’ll cost you more to repair the item.
6. Be Informed Of Store Policies
Some stores have stricter rules whenever Black Friday sale comes around. They either decrease the number of days that you can return or exchange an item, or sometimes they’d even choose not to allow any returns and exchanges during the season. This is why it’s always good to check before buying. After all, you wouldn’t want to be stuck with something you never really wanted that much in the first place.
7. Start Online
Skip the madness and save yourself from long lines by shopping online. The whole store is practically at your disposal and everything is just a click away. The best part is, you can do it in pajamas in the comfort of your own home. Now all you need is a laptop (or even just your phone), a credit card, and a cup of coffee to welcome in this year’s Black Friday sale!
