With a bit of creativity and a touch of your personal style, these outfits can spawn a whole season’s worth of new winter work looks. So read up and get ready to shop for all the pieces you need!

1. Tweed Dresses

|

One of my favorite things about winter work looks is how I can wear so many different fabrics! Go for thicker materials like tweed: it’s a closet staple for working girls. It will work whether or not you’re in the corporate world, too!

2. Turtleneck Dresses

A turtleneck is another staple dress for winter work looks. It serves its function to keep you warm but it’s also basic enough to mix and match with other pieces! Layer it under a vest or crop blazer for a polished look.

3. Winter Whites

|

White pieces make for really crisp winter work looks. A white sheath dress (in a thicker fabric, of course!) under a cozy white or nude coat is a combo even the laziest or busiest girls can get behind. Accessorize with a classic handbag and your favorite pearl earrings for extra style.

4. Camel Coats

|

Camel coats are my favorite transitional pieces. Wear them in the fall, then throw them over your winter work looks and you’ll be out the door and off to work in no time!

They pair perfectly with black, white, and every color in between. I love wearing my camel coats with navy blue power suits!

5. Double-Breasted Coats

|

If you need to dress up this season but also need to battle the cold weather, a double-breasted coat will do everything for you, and more. It’s ultra-chic, timeless, and so functional. I love the double-breasted coats with faux fur lining around the neck—so warm and comfy!

6. Turtleneck Sweaters

For winter work outfits, you can never have enough turtleneck tops. They’re like the silk blouses of warmer months. Tuck a turtleneck into a longer pencil skirt, wear it with culottes or classic cigarette pants. On top of everything, just pair with your best winter coat!

7. Sweater Vests

|

Sweater vests are also transitional pieces you can wear with winter work looks. Layer them over your basic button-downs, turtlenecks, or even your dresses if you’re feeling girly!

8. All-Black Look

|

An all-black look works well always. It may look boring for some but there are workarounds for it to still pop-out. A fitted top and a textured skirt will definitely look great in the office and even for a night out.

9. Jeans and Blazers

|

Do you want to look polished and still be warm? Pair your favorite pair of jeans with a blazer and coat hybrid. Match your look with black shoes and you’re ready for work.

10. Suit and Shirt

|

A simple casual look with a twist of formal wear can be possible with a straight-cut jacket and ankle-length pants. For the “casual” part, wear a graphic tee inside. It will be a comfortable and cool outfit.
