The first step of any skin care regimen is cleansing, but it’s better if your facial cleanser also moisturizes the skin. This DIY Lemon and Honey facial cleanser do just that. The honey and vegetable glycerin moisturizes the skin. The lemon brightens up the skin and the castile soap fights acne.

To make this DIY facial cleanser, mix 1/2 cup vegetable glycerin, 3 tbsp. honey, 2 tbsp. liquid castile soap, and 3-5 drops of lemon essential oil, in a clean bowl. If all ingredients are mixed well together, you can transfer it to a clean jar.

2. Homemade Clay Facial Cleanser | DIY Skincare Recipes

Clay is known for its ability to attract dirt, grime, and impurities from the skin. So if you have oily skin and deals with acne, this clay facial cleanser is worth a try. This DIY facial cleanser can unclog pores, deep cleanse the skin, balances and brightens the skin, and can also control breakouts.

Simply mix 4 tbsp. of bentonite clay and 3 tbsp. rosehip oil until smooth. If you want to add an essential oil, you can add 10 drops of the oil of your choice. To help you out, you can use Lavender for normal and sensitive skin, Bergamot for oily skin, Geranium or Sandalwood for dry skin, and Frankincense for mature or damaged skin.

3. DIY Activated Charcoal Exfoliating Scrub | DIY Skincare Recipes

Activated charcoal is a mineral that’s widely used for its ability to detoxify the skin and the body. While clay works to get rid of dirt and impurities, activated charcoal targets toxins and chemicals in the body. So if you’re looking to detoxify your skin, try this exfoliating facial scrub.

Just mix 1/3 cup cane sugar, 2 capsules of activated charcoal (opened), and 2 tsp Olive oil. You may also add an essential oil of your choice into the mixture.

Rosewater is a fave ingredient when it comes to facial toners because of its anti-inflammatory and hydrating abilities. This DIY facial toner is very hydrating and you can also use it as a makeup setting spray.

You must first start by making the rosewater. Remove the petals of the organic rose and then boil it in a large pot. Use just enough water to cover the petals and use medium to low heat. Leave it to simmer for 30 minutes until the petals have a pale pink color. Now strain the petals and get the rosewater.

Now to make the rosewater facial toner, mix 1 tbsp. pure rosewater and 4 tbsp. distilled water and then pour mixture into a spray bottle.

If you’re like me who suffer from dry skin every now and then, you should definitely try this DIY skincare recipe. It nourishes all skin types and is made with all-natural ingredients only. This DIY moisturizer will definitely give your skin the hydration boost it needs.

To make this nourishing moisturizer, you will need 1 cup Aloe vera gel, 3/4 oz beeswax, 1/4 cup Almond oil, 1/4 cup coconut oil, and 10 drops of essential oil.

Start by melting the beeswax and coconut oil into the Almond oil. You can use a double broiler or chocolate melter for this one. Now pour the melted oils into your blender and let it cool. Now mix the essential oil with the Aloe vera gel and then pour that into the blender. Turn the blender on, whip, and you have your all-natural moisturizer!

6. Chocolate Oatmeal Face Mask | DIY Skincare Recipes

If you haven’t noticed yet, most of our recipes look delicious! This next one is no different. Why do I love this face mask? For one, chocolate makes me feel good and cocoa has antioxidant properties that leave my skin feeling cleaner and more hydrated. I love the oatmeal because it gently exfoliates my skin too.

Are you ready to do this? Simply mix 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/4 cup honey, 3 tbsp. oatmeal powder, and 2 tbsp. heavy cream in a mixing bowl. Apply mixture directly on the face and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing it with lukewarm water.

1. The 3-Ingredient Lotion Bar | DIY Skincare Recipes

The first time I used a lotion bar, it was sayonara to any liquid lotion. I love love love lotion bars. I think they’re easier to use and easier to lather on the skin too. But what I like more about lotion bars is that they’re very easy to make so I don’t spend on lotions anymore!

Do you want to make your own lotion bars? Just mix 1/3 cup Ccoconut oil, 1/3 cup Shea butter, and 1/3 cup beeswax. Melt everything together and pour into a mold. Let it cool before removing the cooled lotion bars in the mold. By the way, you can also replace the Shea butter with mango or cocoa butter. You can combine the butters as well.

2. Grapefruit and Lavender Body Butter | DIY Skincare Recipes

Not only does it look yummy, it’s awesomely good for the skin too! This grapefruit and lavender body butter will undoubtedly moisturize the skin. Wait until you see what the ingredients are for this whipped body butter.

To make this one, put 1/2 cup of cocoa butter, coconut oil, shea butter and Olive oil in a double broiler. Melt all together while mixing with a whisk. This is the part where you can put 1/2 tsp. of grapefruit and lavender essential oils. Now, once the mixture is completely melted, let it cool in the fridge for an hour. If you see that the mixture is firm, you can whip it using a hand mixer. If the mixture is creamy enough, transfer the mixture into a clean glass jar.

3. Almond Honey Oatmeal Goat Milk Soap | DIY Skincare Recipes

You know what, I used to love antibacterial soaps. Whenever I use those soaps, I felt clean and germ-free. But what I didn’t notice was that I was sacrificing the health of my skin. Those soaps are too drying and I paid the price. Since realizing that, I made the switch and opted for all-natural soaps instead. These soaps are more nourising and kinder to the skin. this Almond Honey Oatmeal Goat’s Milk Soap recipe I have for today is such a delight!

To make this, you will need 10 oz. goat’s milk soap base, two Vitamin E capsules, honey, sweet almond fragrance, and oats. Melt the soap base first before mixing 2 tbsp. honey, oats and the oil of the Vit. E capsules. Add a few drops of almond fragrance in the mix as well. Once everything is mixed well, pour the mixture into a soap mold and let it cool.

4. Coffee Body Scrub | DIY Skincare Recipes

Don’t you just love coffee? This easy DIY coffee body scrub nourishes and exfoliates the skin at the same time. And if you have dry skin, the more you have to try this recipe out!

All you need do is is mix 1/2 cup of coffee grounds, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and 1/4 cup of coconut oil and you have your own coffee body scrub! Just remember to store it in an airtight container.

5. DIY Bath Bombs | DIY Skincare Recipes

Are you always looking forward to that warm bath when you get home from work? Don’t forget your bath bombs now! I think bath bombs are so cool and I literally stare at it when it starts to fizz on my tub. It makes me really excited to get into the tub!

Anyhow, if you want to make your own DIY bath bombs, you have to mix 2 parts of sodium bicarbonate and 1 part citric acid in a mixing bowl. Now add a bit of water, slowly, while you mix the two powders. Keep mixing until you see the powders clump together. There shouldn’t be any tiny lumps of water in there, if you do see the lumps, squash them as you need the consistency of the mixture to be in tact. When the mixing is done, pour the mixture into a bath bomb mold…and you’re done!

6. Homemade Hand and Foot Salve | DIY Skincare Recipes

Now that we’ve pampered our face and body, let’s now give our hands and foots the pampering they deserve! Our hands and feet work all day long so we really shouldn’t neglect them. If you have dry skin on your hands and feet or just need to condition and nourish them, you can use this hand and foot salve.

The first thing you need to do is melt 1/4 cup beeswax, 1/2 cup coconut oil, and 1/2 cup Shea butter together in a bowl. Make sure it is mixed well. After that, put the melted mixture in the refrigerator and cool for about 10 minutes. Next, whisk the mixture until its fluffy and doubles in size. While whisking, add 1 tsp. of Vitamin E oil, 10 drops clove essential oil, and 10 drops wild orange essential oil. Mix everything well before transferring to a clean glass jar.

7. Stress Relieving Foot Soak | DIY Skincare Recipes

Oh my, just seeing this recipe makes me want to do a foot soak now! But that can wait and your feet can’t. This DIY stress relieving foot soak will definitely relax those tired feet, plus remove any bad odor and toxins lingering between those toes.

To make this foot soak, mix 1 cup of sea salt, 1 cup of Epsom salt, 2 cups baking soda, and 12 drop of essential oil/s. I highly suggest using peppermint because the scent is very relaxing. Lavender is also a great essential oil for foot soaks.

8. Coconut Lavender Foot Scrub | DIY Skincare Recipes

Of course, you won’t just stop at the foot soak, you should remove those dead skin on your feet too! I really have dry feet and I always try to do my own foot spa at home, especially if I can’t find time to go to the spa. It does take a bit of effort but watching the dry skin fall off my feet is a sight to behold! So if you want smooth feet, whip up this coconut lavender foot scrub now!

Mix 1 1/2 cup of granulated sugar with 3/4 cup coconut oil, 1tsp. Vitamin E oil, and 8 drops of Lavender essential. After mixing well, start adding 1 tsp. lavender buds and mix well again. The lavender buds also help the sugar to exfoliate your feet and slough off the dead skin.

Oh my gosh, I felt like I was in a trance making that list! DIY skincare and makeup recipes always make me giddy!
