Flower Nail Art Tutorial Perfect For Fall

This article was originally posted on Nail Designs and shared with permission

A flower nail art is an amazing way to welcome the beginning of fall. As the leaves begin to change its color to red, brown, and yellow, it’s nice to sport something with a pop of color. In this post, I’ll share with you an amazing design you can easily do.

I love fall, I don’t know why but it gives me the feeling of peace and calm. Haha, I’m hoping I’m making sense here. Anyway, I love the warm colors of the flowers and the leaves during this season and I find it cute to see it being replicated on our nails.

There’s no better way for nail enthusiasts to celebrate the changing of the season than having a really nice flower nail art. This tutorial may seem daunting to make given its intricate details, but I assure you guys that this is very doable. So get ready to wow  the crowd with this breathtaking nail art.

For this flower nail art, you will need:

*You may check the availability of Jo Sonja’s Acrylic Paint here.

Step 1: Do the Base

You begin this flower nail art by painting the nails with a navy blue nail polish as the base coat. Then add a matte top coat, you’ll know why it has to be matte coat later.

Step 2: Practice makes Perfect

In a sheet of paper, practice making an orchid. Begin by forming a dotted center. Draw a small petal on top then two larger ones on the side. Finally, connect very small petals to the larger ones. Don’t worry too much about perfecting the petal design because it doesn’t have to be that perfect, just make sure it doesn’t look dirty.

Step 3: Make a Petal

For the first small petal, use half navy blue and half turquoise to create a gradient effect. Create a drop-like shape using the said colors. The gradient effect makes the design more realistic. However, if you opt not too, or if you think that step is complicated then you can just use one color for the petal.

Step 4: Add larger Petals

Create a gradient effect using the white and navy blue nail polish. Add a little bit of turquoise to the mix. Use the color combination to create the larger petals for your flower nail art.

Step 5: Create smaller Petals

Make another gradient effect using 2/3 of the navy blue nail polish and 1/3 of the white nail polish. Use this color scheme to make the small lower petals. Ensure that the petals are well connected to the center of the flower.

Step 6: Go for Second Coat

Redo a coat for the larger petals you drew on the side. Only the side petals of this flower nail art get a second coat while the others only get one.
