Coconut oil heals flaking scalp, dry hair, and when mixed with the right ingredients can even fix frizzy hair. A few daily spritzes here and there and your hair problems will be gone in no time!

2. Lotion

Coconut oil makes for an excellent lotion. This is because it has loads of saturated fats which help prevent moisture from escaping through the pores. Bet you didn’t know that now, did you?

3. Cheek Stain

The secret to making a DIY cheek stain is cranberry powder and beetroot powder. If you want a darker shade, all you have to do is just add another half of a teaspoon of beetroot powder to your mixture.

4. Shaving Cream

A mixture of coconut oil, aloe vera, and essential oils is all it takes to make shaving cream. Once applied on the skin, allow it to sit for a couple of minutes before shaving. Having the coconut oil in the mixture helps prevent any unwanted razor burn and skin irritations, while the aloe helps in softening the hair making it easier to shave off.

5. Body Scrub

I love a good sugar scrub. I’ve actually recently found that using coconut oil as an ingredient is one of the key secrets to having softer skin. I kid you not, the first time I tried it I was left with supple and soft skin. I couldn’t stop smiling!

6. Deodorant

Did you know that the culprit for your dark underarms are the chemicals you’ve been putting from your deodorant?

As soon as I knew about this, I quickly switched to natural deodorant remedies. I read an article about coconut oil uses and found that it also works wonders for the underarms. Then again, who would’ve thought, right?

When you use coconut oil in a body scrub, you just know you’ve got to go full circle and make a body wash as well. I love citrus smells on my skin so I like adding around 20-40 drops of citrus essential oils in my formula. It makes both me and my bathroom smell amazing.

Another one of the numerous nifty coconut oil uses is that it can be used as a vapor rub. Yes, ladies, stuffy noses are no match to the powers of the coconut oil.

9. Lip Balm

Nowadays, I don’t have to worry about chapped lips because there are so many products to choose from. I like using both my Burt’s Bees lip balm and my coconut oil lip balm. I use the former whenever I’m out and the latter when I’m home and right before I sleep.

10. Toothpaste
