The 6 Things Your Travel Packing List Should Have This Fall

November 13, 2016 By Perry Belcher 3 Comments

Fall has arrived and you know what that means? It’s time to pack your bags, check your travel packing list, and enjoy a Fall vacation!

I love Fall! Honestly, it’s the best season of the year. It’s not too cold and not too humid which is just perfect! I also love Fall fashion! I think it has the best fashion choices and accessories. So, are you feeling the Autumn vibe yet? If you’re just as excited as me, then let’s lock down our travel packing list so you should be Fall travel-ready in a heartbeat!

For those who have been hit by the travel bug like me, packing is one of the less loved activities we have to go through. However, it’s also the most important one. I remember packing at the last minute for my trip to New York and I failed immensely because I forgot to pack enough bottoms for the trip! I had to buy new ones when I arrived and it totally affected my well-planned travel budget.

The 6 Things Your Travel Packing List Should Have This Fall

Let’s admit it, women can bring their whole wardrobe when they travel if they can. But, the truth is, you only need key items to bring with you to ensure a fabulous trip this Fall season. What I have now is a simple and easy travel packing list that you can follow to make sure you have every single thing you need in your luggage while making sure you look gorgeous as always! Ready? Get ready to tick those boxes.

1. The Right Fall Coats and Boots

YES! When going to a Fall vacation, it is a MUST that you bring the perfect coat and pair of boots for you. I highly suggest that you bring only one coat and one pair of boots because these things are really bulky. I also suggest that you go with neutral colors (brown, white, black) so it’s easy to pair up with your clothes. And of course, make sure they’re really comfortable when worn too!

2. Your Go-To Fall Makeup

I’m guilty. Whenever I travel, I try to bring every lipstick color with me and it just takes up so much space in my makeup bag. Ladies, don’t make the same mistake! During travels, light makeup is the way to go. Although those dark fall lipsticks are winners, taking one or two of your most favorite lippies should do the trick. Moreover, bring makeup items that are multi-purpose like eyeshadow shades that double as eyebrow powder.

3. Can’t Live Without Fall Accessories

Fall accessories aren’t just there to make you look extra good, but it does really come in handy from time-to-time. Like for me, I can’t live without fall accessories, scarves, and sunglasses. For the other ladies, they prefer wearing hats. Either way, whatever rocks your boat will do. And again, let’s follow the rule here: just bring one of each.

4. Small Toiletries

We can’t live without them but we can’t take everything with us too. So, when it comes to toiletries, the rule of thumb is to bring travel-sized version or transfer them to smaller containers to you can save space in your bag. Bring the ones you REALLY need this fall like your moisturizer and lip balm because the cold weather can dry up your skin. And of course, don’t forget the sunscreen!

5. The Essentials

Okay now that we’re sure you’re going to look good on your trip, it’s time to pack the things you need to survive in your fall trip or in every trip for that matter. Our travel packing list includes credit card, cash and travel documents. I know I know, there are those who can’t survive without a tablet or a laptop. But I say– you can! If you can leave them at home, please do, so you can focus on your trip and not what’s on your Facebook News Feed.

6. Must-Have Medicine

This tip might not be what you expect, but I’m throwing it in because it can be crucial to your health. I’ve been there. I had a gastroenteritis attack during one of my travels and the ONLY medicine that worked for me was unavailable there. Bummer. And this is why I want to remind you to bring medicine that you might need because you’ll never know when those allergies will attack or when you’ll catch the bug. Stay healthy!
