It’s the weekend. You have been invited to a house warming party or birthday extravaganza of a close girl friend. Hours have been spent constructing the perfect outfit to wear for the fun night ahead. While you have your festive attire and makeup look down to the T, you have no idea what kind of gift to get the “woman of the hour” for her special occasion! This is where baking bundles come in handy!

While buying a gift might seem tedious and exhausting for some, I always jump at the chance to find something perfectly tailored to whomever I am buying it for. As soon as I hear the words “party,” my southern hospitality kicks in and my gift gears begin turning. I particularly love to cater to my Martha Stewart-esque friends and like to gift them a little something I call a “baking bundle.” For this blog post, I’m sharing an easy, yet original and practical, gift idea that is sure to make a smile rise on your friend’s face faster than a cake in an oven!
Spatulas
In today’s baking world, spatulas have gained a whole new aesthetic! They often come in an array of different colors, patterns, and shapes that are oh so cute! Whether your hostess’s sweet of choice is donuts, cupcakes, or macarons, there is a spatula perfectly tailored to her dessert of choice. Adding a spatula to your “baking bundle” gives your hostess a utensil to mix up her future yummy creations!
Pot Holder/Towels
When baking, pot holders, and decorative towels are something your hostess will always keep in an arm’s reach. She will need these when using the oven, as well as for cleaning up any unexpected, yet inevitable, mess! If you can find one in her favorite color, saying, or print, she’s more likely to hang them on the oven or rest them by the stove top!
Measuring Spoons/Cups
Measuring spoons and cups come in THE CUTEST designs, nowadays! I love mason jars and I just about died when I found these adorable, stackable measuring cups, with matching measuring spoons and spoon rest. If your hostess has an obsession with an animal or object, I recommend going that extra mile and finding one in the shape of it!
I promise you, she will freak out…in a good way! (*wink*) Not only are measuring spoons and cups essential for the “baking bundle” to ensure your hostess adds the correct amount of ingredients when baking up a storm, but they will also serve as adorable kitchen décor!
Salt & Pepper Shakers
Unique salt and pepper shakers have been around for decades—my grandmother actually had a pretty impressive collection herself! While shakers aren’t necessarily a must-have for baking, they make a cute addition for your friend to put on her kitchen table! Want to make your shakers baker friendly? Fill them with sugar or sprinkles; just make sure the holes at the top are big enough!
Mixing Bowls
Mixing bowls are great because you can easily find them in almost every kitchen aisle or store! If you’re lucky, you can actually find some with the same pattern, but in different sizes! The mixing bowl is one of the most important components to the “baking bundle” because not only will it be used for mixing up all ingredients in, it will serve as the gift basket to display all of the elements of the bundle.
Decorative Sign
Cute, decorative signs are not a necessity for the “baking bundle,” but they add a cute personal touch that your hostess can use to hang or put on display in her kitchen! Adorable kitchen sayings are pretty easy to come by, as long as you know where to look! I recommend Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, or Target to find a cute signs, as well as all of the other products needed to complete the “baking bundle.”
Place them all together in the mixing bowl and your bundle will be baked to perfection! If you really want to take your gift to the next level, add a recipe or even a pre-made cake mix so your hostess can use her gift right away! Such a simple and thoughtful gift is sure to mix up some happy emotions from your hostess with the mostess!
