The question is, “Are you ready for diversity?”
Yes, it is! 2015 marked a new era in the fashion world, at least, for the models who walk down the runway. Last year’s runway could be summed up in two words: diversity and unconventionality.
The industry is finally opening up to models who don’t fit the traditional mold of rail-thin Caucasian. Last year, you saw Madeline Stuart walk down the runway; then there was Winnie Harlow, the world’s first model with vitiligo; and, to sweeten the deal even more, there were several plus-size models who redefined confidence and presented us with an alternative to the traditional “beautiful, sexy body.”

10 Unconventional Models Who Helped Diversify Fashion in 2015
There’s no doubt this year that body image and diversity were the two major topics in the fashion industry. Brands created feel-good campaigns and models themselves took a strong stance on the heated issues. Ladies like Ashley Graham rallied behind the plus-size movement while model Madeline Stuart proved a genetic disorder doesn’t make anyone less beautiful.
We can’t wait to see what changes 2016 has to offer!
