Say NO to Toxic Chemicals and Pamper Your Skin with an All-Natural Skin Treat
You just can’t help it. Whenever you go shopping or do some relaxing time away from home, checking out the latest skincare products is always on the list. Not to mention, the newly-launched, high-end products that you may add to your everyday skin regimen. However, not everything goes well with your skin and budget. So here’s a solution for that!
Try checking out some household stuff that you may turn into your next amazing beauty secret. We love this homemade moisturizer as its consistency is close enough to those products sold at the malls and drugstores — minus the toxins. It’s time we ditch the store-bought moisturizers — let’s make a luxurious homemade moisturizer!
You’ll need:
- 1 cup of aloe vera gel
- 4 tablespoons of beeswax (preferably beeswax pellets for easy-melting)
- 1/4 cup of sweet almond oil
- 1/4 cup of coconut oil (fresh-pressed organic)
- essential oil
- blender/ hand blender
- boiling water
- small, empty container (for the moisturizer)
- measuring cup (or any heat-resistant container)
- spoon/ small knife
- spatula
With all the ingredients and tools prepared, let’s begin!
Instructions:
Step 1: Beeswax Mixture
Put your 4 tablespoons of beeswax, 1/4 cup of almond oil and 1/4 cup of coconut oil altogether in a heat-safe jar/measuring cup.
Step 2: Boil it up!
Place the jar into your boiling water. Stir until the mixture is completely melted. This may take up to 10 minutes if you’re going to use beeswax blocks, but if you have beeswax pellets, less time will be consumed.
Step 3: Let it cool down
Pour the melted mixture into your blender or cup (if you’re going to manually blend). Let it cool. It may take an hour to cool down and turn semi-solid, so bring some patience, guys! Then, get your 1 cup of aloe vera gel and drop some essential oil of your preference. 10 drops are good for this, but if you want to add more, be gentle in doing so. Just sniff as you go!
Step 4: Blend, blend and blend!
Take the beeswax mixture (be sure it’s perfectly cooled down!) and break it into pieces using a spoon or knife to prepare it for blending. Slowly add the aloe vera gel with essential oil to the mixture as you blend. This will soon transform into a cream. Continuously blend it until everything is combined and a whipped cream-like texture is visible. You may spend 10 minutes of blending to avoid the slimy-chunky texture of this mixture.
Step 7: Keep it safe
Using a spatula, place the mixture into an empty container. Make sure to have an airtight lid to keep the mixture clean.
Moisturize!
And you’re done! You’ve just made your own moisturizer. This recipe will give you a velvety hand & body moisturizer that will repair dry skin — plus, it’s all-natural.

This is recommended for night use because it’s slightly heavy and oily. You probably don’t want something too shiny or heavy under your makeup so just enjoy its benefits at night time. If you’re able to make more than what you need, you can also use this as a body butter. Indulge with amazing body and face treats from your pantry and enjoy your healthy skin regimen!
