She has come a long way from her days on Laguna Beach (I was always team LC, by the way) and everything about her is such an inspiration. She’s got style, she’s got grace, and no one can take her place. *swoon*
Lauren Conrad Statement Pieces
I had the pleasure of meeting the queen herself while she was touring for her book, Celebrate. As big of fan as I am, you know your girl pulled out all the stops. I dressed in my cutest scalloped ensemble, accompanied by a statement cupcake ring and purse. I even decorated cupcakes and attached a well thought out, handwritten card just for her. Meeting her was everything I had imagined. She even posted a picture of my cupcakes and tagged me on her official Instagram. OMG! It was one of the best moments of my life and a defining moment for continuing to share my creativity with the world.
When it comes to my personal style, all of my inspiration stems from Lauren Conrad. I can honestly say that the LC Lauren Conrad line from Kohl’s has taken up more than half of my closet. If you haven’t checked out her adorable, yet affordable, line of clothing, jewelry, purses, sunnies, and shoes, I urge you to stop what you are doing and get yo’ self acquainted. While I could undoubtedly be here all day showing off all of the pieces that I adore, here are some of my favorites that I go to sleep dreaming about. And brace yourself, because I’m sure you will too.
Sunnies
Summer ‘17 is a blazin’! To block out the sun (and the haters) LC Sunnies are some of my all-time favorites! I rock these beauties when I run my errands, go to the pool, or just simply to tie my whole outfit together. They’re super trendy, comfy, and look designer for a fraction of the price.
Skirts
From scallops, to lace, to tulle, oh my! Where do I even begin? Short and frilly for cocktail hour or long and flowy for a bridal shower, LC has a skirt for every occasion! I find myself looking for any reason to wear her tulle pieces because there is just something about tulle that makes me feel unstoppable. I am not kidding when I say that I randomly get stopped and complimented every time I wear one of them. Lately, I have seen so many tulle skirts sell for $100 or more, so it’s amazing to find gems like these at such a remarkable price! TRUE STORY: when my fiancé catches me buying another one of her skirts, my favorite thing to tell him is that they are “investment pieces” and to carry on.
Shoes
Just when I think there isn’t any more room in my closet for shoes, she introduces a new sophisticated heel or scalloped ballet flat. The best part is that velvet isn’t just for the holidays anymore, ladies. You can wear any of her heels with a chic pant suit or a dress of any length. The flats, on the other hand, are more versatile and can be worn with just about anything. I personally love them so much I have them in four different colors and wear them almost every day!
Jewelry
Her jewelry line always has me in awe. From her dainty rings to precious arm candy, her jewelry is so feminine and darling. What’s more exciting is that she recently branched off into a fine jewelry line with pieces in silver, gold, and rose gold (my absolute favorite)! While those pieces are a bit pricier, her primary jewelry line is affordable and just as cute! I love how she was able to incorporate a touch of velvet into this gorgeous, statement necklace, the rose gold bracelet reminds me of frosting, and can we take a minute to appreciate how adorable this antler ring is? OH DEER, it’s so cute!
Purses
Anyone that knows me knows that I am completely infatuated with novelty bags! When LC finally introduced her purse line, I just about had a heart attack…okay, not really, I’m just being dramatic, but my heart DID begin to race! These two faux suede/leather LC beauties are MUST HAVES in my book. Not only are they surprisingly roomy, the rose gold hardware is everything!
Sweaters
I wanted to save the best for last! One of the many reasons why the LC Lauren Conrad line is my favorite? Cupcake inspired pieces! This amazing cupcake sweater with heavily detailed beaded sprinkles is a cupcake queen’s dream come true. The sweater is cropped, so it goes perfectly with her tulle skirts.
Not only is the LC Lauren Conrad line great quality, chic, and trendy, it’s affordable for everyone. The best part about her whole line is that it’s at Kohl’s. And if you’re a self-proclaimed bargain babe like me, Kohl’s is where it’s at, girlfriend. You rarely pay the full tag price and there are sales on top of coupons on top of Kohl’s cash.
