Two words: taco cleanse.
As we all know, the start of a new year means the beginning of some pretty crazy promises we made to ourselves in late December — you know, when the new year was far away enough to plan without any real consequences (aka total and complete BLARNEY). As is the case with most New Year’s resolutions, cleansing, getting fit and eating healthier are all at the very top of our list. But once January 1st rolls around and we have the gazillion pounds of produce we’ve eagerly gathered at our grocery store spilling over onto our kitchen counters, we take a good look at that book of juice cleanse recipes we bought for 10% off and, for the first time, start to seriously consider what doing a cleanse of any sort means. Thoughts like, “Am I really going to be drinking juice for the next three days?” “What’s going to happen to those NYE leftovers…” “What are the odds this juice will taste good?” and, “Am I really NOT going to eat anything for three days?” make us second-guess a decision we used to think was sound.
Well, cleanse retreaters, I have some great news for you and it comes in the form of a taco. Many tacos, in fact.
The Taco Cleanse, created by Wes Allison, Stephanie Bogdanich, Molly R. Frisinger and Jessica Morris proposes cleansing with tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 30 days straight. Guess a cleanse isn’t so bad after all…
