Travel Hacks For Your Next Adventure

Everybody wants to travel the world, experience more cultures, and meet new people. I, for one, want to see everything that the world has to offer, whichever the continent or country.
When prepping for a trip, I always like starting with the essentials. One of them being that I book cheap tickets to my upcoming destinations. Since I love sharing the things I find online, I thought I’d be a good fairy friend and share my travel hacks with you!
1. Go Incognito
It’s been said that airline pages can track if you’ve recently searched for flights on their page. When this happens, they’re more knowledgable about whether or not their flights are in demand. This usually causes them to charge you more than what you would’ve initially found. To avoid paying the additional bucks, just switch your browser to incognito mode. It’s that simple!
2. Use Flight Check Websites
Nowadays, there are tons of different websites that help collect information on flights, allowing you to see from a bird’s eye view which options are the cheapest. My favorite sites using Skyscanner, Kayak, or CheapoAir. I’ve used all three and they’ve never failed me, not even once.
3. Sign Up For Airfare Promos
If you’re keen on getting a heads up for cheap tickets, then you might want to consider signing up for alerts. Making a price alert for the dates and destinations you have in mind is helpful because it automatically sends you a notification once a promo sale it up and running.
4. Travel During Off-Peak Seasons
Special holidays, weekends, and even late-night or early-morning flights are the things you need to watch out for before booking a flight. Since these are the most wanted periods for flying, most airlines are bound to increase their prices. Traveling during off-peak seasons not only gets you a lower price but also lets you enjoy your vacation without the crowd.
5. Book Ahead
I’ve been one to take booking ahead for granted before so I wish I was more mindful of this beforehand. Booking ahead comes particularly in handy when going on international flights. The earlier you book, the more you save.
6. Fly on either Tuesday or Wednesday
The cheapest days to fly are Tuesdays and Wednesdays because the demand for tickets is lower. Sometimes the prices can differ from anywhere between $10 to $100!
7. Check The ‘Flexible’ Box
If you really want to save money on a flight, one of the best travels hacks is to be flexible with your destination.
Not sure where you go want to yet? Play around with Skyscanner’s Everywhere function. All you have to do is put your airport of origin, put “everywhere” as your desired airport, and then check the little “flexible” box. You’ll have loads of cheap options in no time!
