What’s In My Bag For Homecoming | 7 Purse Essentials

September 15, 2016 By Perry Belcher Leave a Comment

Have a glimpse of what’s in my bag for the most awaited homecoming event! Let me share these items that you’ll most probably be in need of for a fun and hassle-free occasion.

Honestly, I am one of the girls who prefer roomy bags on the daily. I like to put a lot of things inside my bag whether I’m going to the mall or doing errands. But back in my high school days, like the homecoming event, I had my best picks in my small purse — things that would make me comfortable and complete ’til the party is finished. After all, who would want to bring a bulging tote bag while dancing, right?

What’s In My Bag For Homecoming | 7 Purse Essentials

If I’ll go to a homecoming dance again, would you like to know what’s in my bag? Before checking it out, make sure that your purse would match your dress and makeup look perfectly. Again, it doesn’t need to be big at all– just right to hold everything that you think you can’t live without (even if it’s just for hours). And since most of the dresses worn during homecoming don’t have pockets, you really have no choice, girl! #Purses AreLife

There are instances that lockers are available to keep your bags safe. However, I think it’s a bit tiring to go to that area from time to time to get something from you need. Better keep it by your side (or lap). I also recommend you to bring a light purse so that you won’t feel heavy while grooving the night away. Just party with ease all night long!

With that being said, here are the 7 purse essentials you should bring:

1. Smartphone

At present, I think this is the most important content of your purse for homecoming. Aside from communication, you can also use a smartphone in taking selfies and photos with your batchmates and friends while having fun. Your phone can also save you from boredom once in a while when you’re waiting for the next big thing of the night. (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram updates!)

2. Cash Or Credit cards

You’ll most likely need this for your last-minute purchases. It could be some snacks, something to quench your thirst or fees for the homecoming. However, you don’t need to bring a lot of money for this celebration. This will just serve as an extra, in case of emergency.

3. Lipstick Or Lip Gloss

Since you’ll bring a small purse, you can’t bring your entire makeup. Lip products like lipstick, tinted gloss, or lip balm would be enough (depending on your preference). It may tend to fade or wear off the fastest but it’s also the easiest to retouch — just a swipe away!

4. Perfume

Maintain a sweet fragrance through the night with the help of a pocket-sized perfume in your purse. Miniature bottled scents are perfect for travel and for occasions like this since you’ll just be needing a few sprays or drops of your fave perfume.

5. Mint candies

Expect a lot of talking and catching up with different people. If you don’t want to leave a bad impression to your friends, breath fresheners like mint gums or menthol candies can help you out.

6. Safety pins

In case of sudden clothing mishaps, safety pins can give you an urgent remedy. It may be a stuck zipper of your dress or a missing button at the back of your outfit. And since these are just little useful pieces, it won;t take up space in your small purse. It’s really advisable to have them.

7. Band-aid

Save your feet (and soles) from the torture of a sexy pair of heels! I know it’s sort of a sacrifice for us every time we wear stilettos so to ease the pain, be sure to keep pieces of band-aid in your purse. Less pain, more fun!

To top it all, it’s still up to you whether these essentials would be enough, you can add more or remove some. It still boils down to what you think you really need. Just keep in mind: The smaller, the better! How about you? What’s inside your homecoming purse? Leave some comments below ’cause I’d love to know them too!
