Stunning Nails for Independence Day Celebration
No written code requires citizens to show off their patriotism on Independence Day, but we just can’t help but commemorate it through our lifestyle and habits.
To show off some nationalistic side in you, why don’t you try painting your nails using the flag’s colors? But this time, we’ll put some artistic twists to it.
For this patriotic nail design, you’ll need:
- base coat
- white nail polish
- red nail polish
- blue nail polish
- glittery nail polish
- stripping tapes
- dotting tool
- tweezers
- thin brush
- top coat
- nail polish remover
If your tools and nails are ready, let’s begin painting!
Instructions:
Step 1: Base Coat and Color
After applying a base coat to your nails, apply a white nail polish which will serve as your base color.
Step 2: Striping Tapes
When your base color dries up completely, attach multiple pieces of striping tapes vertically onto your nails.
Step 3: Color It Red
Get your red nail polish and apply it all over your nails. Once it’s fully painted, get your tweezers and carefully remove the striping tape (pull it towards you) before the red nail polish dries to create neat vertical lines.
If you got some nail polish onto your skin, you could use a pointed cotton applicator dipped in a nail polish remover to clean it up.

Step 4: Blue Drips
Here’s the fun part! To make the drips, apply three random blue spots onto your nails using a dotting tool. Then, apply your blue nail polish to the tip of your nail. Using a thin brush, connect the dots to the tip of your nail to create the drip effect.
Step 5: Glitters and Shine
To add some glitz and sparkle onto your nails, apply some glittery nail polish to the blue area/drips of your nails. Finally, apply a top coat to help protect your manicure and to give it a nice shiny finish.
Oh-lala! There you have your flag-inspired nails. Shining, shimmering, and dripping nails ready for the 4th of July!
