Different Breastfeeding Clothes You Can Wear Daily

1. Nursing Dress

If there is a family dinner or you get an invite to your friend’s house and need to dress up, a nursing dress can come in handy. A normal dress can serve as a nursing outfit as long as there’s an easy opening for your breasts whenever you need to feed your little one.

Meanwhile, there are specialty breastfeeding dresses that are designed to have a hidden slit under the bust line just like this one in the photo above. It is a perfect formal attire and at the same time can still serve its function to easily breastfeed your baby.

2. Nursing Shirt

|

With the new innovation for breastfeeding clothes, nursing shirts wouldn’t look like a specialty shirt and would look like something anyone could wear. These tees have horizontal slits in the middle that may look like a normal layering design but is actually an opening to nurse your baby anytime and without the hassle of taking the shirt off.

3. Nursing Bra

Nursing bras have a flap on each boob cover to put it down so you can breastfeed on the go. A good pair of these brassieres are expected to be comfortable, sturdy enough to carry the weight of the breasts, absorbent for it to not be messy, and can be easily pull down for easy access.

4. Nursing Tank Top

|

If you’re feeling warm and want to wear something comfortable, a tank top can be your best choice. Just like the bra mentioned above, these tank tops have flaps on each side for easy access. What’s great about this is it has many uses.

It can be used at home or when you need to go out, just put a cardigan or a shirt on top.

5. Nursing Blouse

|

Blouses that have buttons or zippers in the middle work great as nursing clothes. Unlike t-shirts, blouses offer variety in designs and cuts which you can use for different occasions.

You can also wear a nursing blouse to work and use it if you need to pump milk to store for your little one.

6. Nursing Maxi Dress

|

Looking for something you can wear for a night out or just something formal? Why not consider a nursing maxi dress? It usually has flaps that look like layering designs but are easy-access holes for breastfeeding.

I suggest a floral design if you’re thinking of getting one. It will make you look slimmer while you take care of the weight you gained during pregnancy.

7. Nursing Cardigan

|

Completing the trifecta of something you can wear for the colder days, a nursing cardigan can be considered. Although most cardigans are open in the middle, a nursing cardigan can have a waterfall or snapped close style to still cover your breastfeeding duties even when you’re in public.

A great idea to make the most out of this cardigan is by adding a belt in the middle for a completely different look.

8. Nursing Hoodie

|

If you’re going for athleisure wear or just wearing something to keep you warm, a nursing hoodie can come in handy. These hoodies are usually made out of cotton making them very comfortable.

Apart from having a hood and the hand pockets, a slit on the left and right side are present to feed your baby easily anywhere.

9. Nursing Sweater

|

Wearing a knitted nursing sweater is also a great way to keep you warm and cozy and still look great. This kind of clothing usually has a slit in the middle where you will slip your baby through when it’s time for breastfeeding.

If you are into knitting, you can customize and create your own design for a nursing sweater. Even put a slit on the side instead of the middle if it will be easier for you.

10. Nursing Covers

Nursing covers or nursing wraps are for those who are always on the go. It is a cover that you wear over yourself and breastfeed underneath it. This can work as a scarf to keep you warm if you’re not using it for its usual purpose. It comes in many designs and colors for you to match well in any outfit.
