Critics’ predictions:

The Gold Rush Gang has already made Oscar predictions, and since the CCA’s usually have similar nominees as the Academy Awards, it’s safe to use those predictions for Critics’ Choice.

BEST PICTURE: The gang is predicting that Spotlight will take home the trophy for Best Picture, with Carol being a close second.

BEST ACTOR: It comes as no surprise that The Gold Rush Gang picked Leonardo DiCaprio to win Best Actor for The Revenant.

BEST ACTRESS: The critics are pegging Brie Larson to take home the trophy for Best Actress for Room.

BEST DIRECTOR: These critics think Tom McCarthy will take home the trophy for Spotlight. Some of The Gold Rush Gang think it will be Alejandro G. Iñárritu for The Revenant, though.

BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY: After seeing their other predictions, it makes sense the Gold Rush Gang is choosing Spotlight to take home this trophy.

BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY: They think Carol will win this award followed closely by Room.
