The moment you announced you’re engaged, your friends and family will be looking forward to your wedding date. A great way of letting them know about your upcoming wedding is to send out save the date card so they can prepare for your big day. But don’t be too conventional in delivering the news. WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Print out / Save the Date cards layout
- Guillotine Paper Cutter
- Corner punch
- Gold scratch off foil stickers
Step 1. Have your Invitation Printed
Print out whatever it is that you want to be written in your save the date card. You can search for free sample layout or printable layout on the internet. You can also make your own layout and design if you want. You have a simple yet creative or an elaborate one.
Step 2. Cut the Edge of the Card
Using a guillotine, cut along the edge of the invite. If you don’t have guillotine you can also use a sharp pair of scissors.
Step 3. Create a Neat Edge
Using a corner punch, punch out each corner to create a neat edge. You can also use a pair of scissors to cut out each corner.
Step 4. Apply Scratch-off Foil Stickers
And to make it unique and more surprising, apply scratch-off foil stickers on the date of your wedding day.
When you ask your wedding entourage like your maid of honor, best man, brides maid, grooms men, flower girl and others, you can also use these scratch-off foil stickers. These will add a thrill as they need to scratch off first the card to know their roles in your big day. Isn’t more exciting?
