The COVID-19 brought the world to its knees. With business empires shutting down, we see lives come to a standstill. Fashion companies feel the negative impact too. The coronavirus outbreak has led to the closure of fashion stores across the world.

Capri Holding, the owner of Jimmy Choo, Versace, and Michael Kors, joins the fight against the COVID-19 by donating 3 million US dollars.

These donations will benefit organizations from each brand’s home city:

The Michael Kors label will further donate another US$ 1 million while Jimmy Choo and Versace labels will additionally give US$ 500,000 and US$ 400,000, respectively.

Aside from donating 250,000 masks and gowns, the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation also gave 10 million US dollars to the following beneficiaries:

This Italian brand, together with its long time fragrance partner Industrie Cosmetiche Riunite, Lodi, is donating hand cleansing gels. These 75ml gels in recyclable bottles will be distributed to all hospitals through the Italian Civil Department.

Trivia: This is on top of their early February donation to Spallanzani Hospital in Rome.

The fashion company also announced its arrangements of sending out over 2 million worth of PPE to the frontline health workers. The Montefiore Health System is the first beneficiary that receives these PPE.

The fine jewelry brand donated 1 million US dollars to the Solidarity Response Fund to support the frontline health workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Along with its parent company, Deckers Brands, UGG launched Better Together Initiative. The brands give products and monetary donations amounting to more than 1 million US dollars to the COVID-19 relief efforts.

UGG is also partnering with select hotels that have opened their doors to healthcare personnel and first responders. The workers will have a chance to enjoy luxurious UGG products like cozy slippers and robes.

To help protect the police, health workers, and other COVID-19 frontliners, Chanel pledged to produce over 50,000 gowns and face masks. In addition to this, the fashion company is contributing 1.2 million Euros to French emergency services.

The Della Valle family, the owner of this luxury Italian brand, expressed their deep gratitude to frontline health workers. The fashion company donated 5 million Euros to support family members who have been left behind by healthcare personnel who died treating COVID-19 patients.

In partnership with the Mode Grande Ouest textile network, the luxury brand has re-purposed non-surgical masks to provide to health care workers. The brand, together with its skilled workers, volunteered to produce 100,000 masks a week.
