Tom Ford’s launching his S/S 2016 collection Soul Train-style.
Boundaries are being broken left and right this year at Paris Fashion Week. Rick Owens paraded his models down the runway wearing other models and this year, Tom Ford ditched the runway, instead opting to share his collection via a 3-minute video featuring Lady Gaga.
The video, shot Soul Train-style, features exuberant, beautiful models dancing down an illuminated runway wearing Tom Ford’s newest and gorgeously lavish collection while flanked by (obviously) gorgeous cheerleaders. Basically, there’s a whole lot of beautiful going on in this video.

I decided to try something new. I wanted to think about how to present a collection in a cinematic way that was designed from its inception to be presented online.
While many designers still rely on the runway presentation to display their collection, others are ecstatic over Tom Ford’s genius idea to engage the audience with a music video that highlights each models’ personality as well as the designer’s unique creativity.
