‘Tis the season for cute holiday outfits! Christmas is the perfect excuse to get dolled up in your most sparkly skirts and cozy sweaters, so take full advantage of it. And it’s not just parties or big occasions you need to dress up for—there’s something about this season that just begs for your most festive holiday outfits. To make sure you look your best all Christmas, get the right inspiration and check your wardrobe to see if you have all the essentials.
Dressing up is one of my favorite ways to really get into the holiday spirit, especially since festivities are in full swing now! So I’ve been on the hunt for holiday outfits and chic inspiration for all my looks this season. I’ll be going to parties, spending time with my family and loved ones, and maybe I can spare some time to make hot chocolate and relax by the fireplace! With everything going on this December, I think we all need to make game plans for our outfits. First order of business: the right inspiration. Here are some of the holiday outfits I’ll be wearing this season, and I’m sure you’ll love them too!
1. Red Tulle
Give your fiery red pieces a holiday twist by going for flowing chiffon fabrics and adding festive elements like ribbons and glitter! Or, pair your basic winter coat with a pop of red tulle.
2. Bows
If you want more subtle and chic holiday outfits, bows are a great option! Whatever color you choose, a bow can make your outfits so much more special for the season. I love big bows, and Christmas is the only excuse I have to wear them!
3. Red and Green
Color is a very important part of the season. If you’re not willing to trade your edgy and chic pieces for festive outfits, try playing with holiday colors like red and green. Holiday outfits like this one can even be office-appropriate!
4. Dressed-Up Cozy
I love mixing and matching different pieces to create holiday outfits, and this is one example of how contrasts can look amazing together. You’ve got a cozy, casual sweater but a sequin pencil skirt and hot red pumps. It seems odd in theory, but it’s so holiday-worthy in real life!
5. Jewel Tones
Everything about this outfit is perfection. Christmas is the one time of the year when you can go overboard and not stick out like a sore thumb, so go ahead and wear those huge bows and tulle skirts! Jewel tones like emerald green are also gorgeous colors, and they really reflect the luxury and festivity of the season.
6. Edgy Sparkle
Sparkly holiday outfits don’t always have to be girly. Pair a sparkly top with black leggings and boots for an edgy yet warm look!
